We head off anticipating the treacherous ‘Bitch ‘N’ Pups’ (I’m sure a male must have come up with the name); except for a bump at low speed on an underwater stump, it was unnerving but easy glide through this section. You can feel the swirls underwater when passing through low reefs and corresponding deep waters. We were lucky as the water levels were high enough to pass this section easily.
Interesting exposed roots
T
his section of the Murray passes through agriculture land; mainly grapes, stone fruits, nuts etc. Large pumps can be seen through this section and the last section. Nevertheless the river and its banks still provide a beautiful naturalistic landscape to navigate.

We arrive at Boundary Bend General Store and Caravan Park in the early afternoon to be greeted with the kind generosity of a free night’s accommodation in a cabin plus dinner. 
We can’t thank Mick enough for this kind offer. Daily unpacking and packing up tent and gear is not only time consuming but requires quite an effort with a boat to prepare for the day. So always grateful for a night off.
