Fast run on the Murray River, the stretch for the Southern 80 ski race. Deep waters and well-marked snags make this section very easy and stress free cruising. We passed through the Port of Echuca with the smells of burning red gum in steam engines, ready for the day’s cruises.
Houseboats and farmland make way to Gunbower National Park where we saw swamps and wetlands shooting off the Murray River.
We managed to come across a nesting Darter with chicks on a branch just over the river.
We managed to explore Gunbower National Park on the road. And took these pictures of the Murray River over the other side of the weir where we are passing through tomorrow.
